Elton Barn Fishery & Retreat was chosen by my director for our recent business trip to Nottingham, and I must say it was a fantastic choice. The first thing that caught my attention were the two lovely armchairs placed strategically in the room, allowing me to relax and enjoy the breathtaking view of the lake. It was the perfect spot to unwind after a long day of meetings. The comfort and ambiance provided by these chairs truly enhanced my stay, making me feel right at home.

Hidden gem, friendly hostess, beautiful grounds, romantic BBQ hut, comfortably warm cabin.

Nothing to fault.

The location was perfect, with Belvoir Castle nearby and Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club just a short drive away. The kids absolutely loved it! There was so much to do and explore. The hosts were super cool and made us feel right at home. Can't wait to come back!

The only thing we would've wanted more of was some late-night fun for young party-goers. It would've been awesome if there was a cool club or a lively bar on the premises.

We stumbled upon Elton Barn Fishery & Retreat accidentally, and it turned out to be a hidden gem! the hostess was brilliant, welcoming, and not overbearing. the beautiful grounds and lake created a peaceful atmosphere. the BBQ hut was like something from a fairy tale, with its cozy ambiance and crackling logs. Even in mid-October, the cabin remained comfortably warm with the oil radiator and BBQ pit. it was a fab break, and we look forward to future return trips.

Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes. 😊

We had a blast exploring the nearby Belvoir Castle and hitting the Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club. The facilities were clean and the hosts were super cool. Only thing missing was a spot for us teenagers to chill and party together, but overall it was an awesome getaway!

Just one small thing, it would have been even better if there was a social area for young people to hang out and have fun together.

Just returned from an amazing weekend at Elton Barn Fishery. Celebrated my son's 5th birthday and they even let us use the bouncy castle! He said it was his best birthday ever. Owners were welcoming and accommodating. Beautiful grounds, including a lake. The BBQ hut was like something out of a fairy tale, cozy and romantic with a crackling fire. The cabin was warm and comfortable, with a fun BBQ pit. Can't wait to come back.

Can just recommend this hotel.

Tanya & Michael went above and beyond to make my stay in the BBQ hut cozy and enjoyable. The fully stocked fishing lake and stress-free environment were everything I could ask for.

Oh, I just loved walking down the dark road with no safe walkway to the nearby pub. Such a thrill!
